The American School

A new digital home for an international school.

Overview

Re-architecting the parent digital journey at TAS

When The American School (TAS) approached CDA, their website no longer reflected the experience of the school itself—international, structured, and deeply human. The site was dense, difficult to navigate, and built on legacy frameworks that couldn’t evolve with the school’s needs. For the parents—TAS’s primary audience—the experience was frustrating, often requiring multiple clicks to reach basic information. Our task was to reimagine the platform not just as a site, but as a digital extension of TAS’s values: global, accessible, and intuitively designed.

We rebuilt the website from the ground up in Webflow, starting with a restructured information architecture centered around the user journey of prospective and current families. We simplified the navigation, streamlined key parent flows (admissions, curriculum, calendar), and designed a visual system that balances warmth with clarity. The result is a digital presence that feels intelligent and calm—one that helps families feel more confident, connected, and informed from their very first click.

The Focus of The American School

With a strong educational legacy and a forward-looking vision. As such, TAS’s website must serve as a clear and authoritative source of essential information. However, without a focused structure, content delivery can easily become overwhelming. TAS needed to prioritize its core communication goals to ensure the website remains purposeful, engaging, and aligned with the needs of prospective students, parents, and the wider community.

Define and restructure

Define and restructure

The primary users of The American School website are parents seeking clear, reliable information about the school’s programs, admissions, and learning environment. However, the previous site fell short in delivering a user-friendly experience. Acting as both consultant and executor, CDA restructured key pages to improve clarity, usability, and communication—ensuring the site effectively supports parents in their decision-making process.

New Flow

With the redesigned website, parents can easily access clear, well-structured information about TAS’s academic programs. Intuitive navigation and focused content help them quickly understand the curriculum and learning approach, improving both their experience and confidence in exploring educational opportunities for their children.
